Honey, Orange, Pistachio Toffee. Inspired by a fabulous dinner overlooking Beirut, after a day of working with former Hezbollah guerrillas. I asked the waiter to bring me dishes I should try to appreciate the breadth Lebanese food. What a treat. And then the dessert–honey and toasted pistachios in a local yogurt. And oranges were offered with so many meals. It seemed like a natural flavor combination for our first Toffee.
I enjoy a good toffee. And I’ve always been disappointed that there is never quite enough chocolate with it. So our 5-layer approach is an effort to fix this problem. Three layers of chocolate, sandwiching 2 layers of toffee. I hope you like it.
