Honey, Orange, Pistachio Toffee. Inspired by a fabulous dinner overlooking Beirut, after a day of working with former Hezbollah guerrillas to help them increase their farming income (and stop being guerrillas.) I asked the waiter to bring me dishes I should try, to appreciate the breadth of Lebanese food. What a treat. To finish the meal, they brought honey and toasted pistachios in a local yogurt (called lebhni). And oranges were offered with so many meals. It seemed like a natural flavor combination for our first Toffee.
